Data Visualization

Data Visualization is the corner for students to share their jaw-dropping data stories. A picture speaks a thousand words. Visualizing data in a novel way helps us to see things in new light. Each data story consists of a graph (or a set of graphs) and a brief write-up explaining how the visualization is arrived such that others can (potentially) replicate the visualization. This line graph compares the economic growth of two rapid-growing Chinese Cities, Beijing and Shanghai, to other five countries or cities, including Brazil, Hong Kong, Japan, Korea, and Singapore.
According to Census and Statistics Department, labour force in Hong Kong (excluding foreign domestic helpers)  has declined from 2019. In 2022, there are 34,839,000 labour force in total, has decreased by 194,000 from 2018, which is the record high of labour force in Hong Kong. This data shows the downtrend
By the end of April 2022, A total of 156,000 people departed Hong Kong by airway since the year started. When comparing the compiled data, 2022 hits the record high with an average of 30,220 people flying out each month. The record shows more people entering than leaving Hong Kong
The map shows the relationship between population density and the sparrow counts in 88 routes covering 18 districts. All paths are about 1 kilometer long. The map demonstrates that areas with higher population density are with more sparrows. For example, in the Kowloon districts, Sham Shui Po, Wong Tai Sin,
